This is blog entry Day 13 of my 30 day blog Challenge

A few weeks ago Mikey and I decided that we will take turns and pick one success principle per week.

We will live each moment of every day by applying that principle. By doing this we aim to practice the principle and gain deep understanding.

Yesterday I posted my take aways from last week’s principle which was Communication is the Response I Get.

At the end of each day we reflect the day’s learnings and share our experiences.

These success principles are taught by Marshall Thurber in the Future of Business workshop. Spanning almost two decades Marshall learned from two great minds of our time, W. Edwards Deming and Buckminster Fuller. Marshall then mashed his experience and knowledge to teach other business leaders through his workshops.

Relationship between Prediction and Leadership

A prediction, or forecast, is a statement about an uncertain event. It is often, but not always, based upon experience or knowledge. – wikipedia

Predictions are made all the time, by individuals, business, government, etc. It goes without saying that it matters that a prediction comes to pass or not. It may be a matter of life and death.  Which wire do we cut, the red or the blue one!?

In an instant, the person that made the prediction could become the hero or an outcast based on the outcome of their prediction.

My Goal

Woah… this is a big one.

As I write this blog post it is the 11:30pm on the 30th of December 2015.

A few minutes short of New Years eve. A time for reflection, resolutions and planning for results.

Right now I am considering my predictions for 2016. I realise that how my predictions unfold will impact my community, my family, and myself.

My goal is to increase the accuracy of my prediction. I must stand on the shoulders of giants to accurately predict my future. Who are my giants? My actions will be to realise those predictions.

I’ll report back in a week with my learning.

I wish you a happy and prosperous 2016!
