Everything Speaks

Everything in the world around us speaks to you and others in some manner or form all the time. From the  way we turn up to a meeting to the tidiness  of your room, everything speaks. Our actions speak louder than our words. The media we consume speaks to us.

One example is when get sucked into watching a video on youtube or facebook. Usually some kind of negative news of some sort and it really does not resonate with me. I know this because I feel a sick feeling in my stomach. I know I should stop the video but a part of me, maybe it is the increasing rhythm of my heart, wants to stay and watch the video to completion.

Another example is how I am dressed, my appearance. What about my posture, am I standing tall or slouching? What message is this sending out? Is it powerful or defeated?

Priming

Everything Speaks principle reminded me of something that I learned from a book written by T. Harv Eker titled, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind: Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth. In his book Harv introduces an extremely important formula. It determines how we create our reality and wealth.

Process of Manifestation.

T→F→A→R

This is one of many wealth principles mentioned in the book.

Thoughts lead to feelings.

Feelings lead to actions.

Actions lead to results.

My learning

Priming is our self talk. That voice inside our heads has a direct relationship to the results in our lives. Imagine priming yourself when you jump in your car and think to yourself how the traffic could be crappy. That could lead to feeling frustrated or angry. That could lead to driving erratically and may result to an accident.

Alternatively, if you are aware of this process of manifestation then you could use it to your advantage.

For example, lately I’ve been using this process of manifestation to break old habits by removing myself from the first person view, through my own eyes, into the third person perspective, observing me from another person’s eyes. So instead of me experiencing an event from my own eyes, I remove myself from that perspective and move into something like a movie director’s perspective. By doing this I can leave my thoughts in that scene and observe how different I feel. Just like a movie director views the movie set through the camera screen. By doing this I can prevent my thoughts escalating into feelings into actions into results. To me this removes the energy of momentum from any unwanted negative emotion.

 

Conclusion

It has been a challenging week. I realised how much of my thoughts, feelings, actions and behaviour was so automatic. The good thing is that there is a process to follow to break these habitual cycles and with practise I know it will become easier over time.

What next?

It was Mikey’s turn to pick the next weekly focus principle and he has picked the Communication is the Response I Get  principle. For the next week I will apply this principle daily and report my observations and learnings.
